This can be seen in the MyPlayer mode of this 2k21 demo

RELEASE TIMING - Much like what we've observed in 2k20 and years past. You flick the stick and release it at the right time to have a perfect release. It may be late, early, or place on. There's other increments of shots (slightly early, somewhat late and all that)

STICK ORIENTATION - If you play 2KU or some Quick Game from the 2k21 demo, you'll realize this strategy. It's just about you holding the expert stick down and then moving it slightly left or right with the aim being to get the shot at the coloured section of the shot meter. You are efficiently lining up your shot. When you launch the rod doesn't make a difference. In fact you are able to hold it down the whole time (strange to listen to, I know, for people who were using the pro stick in years previous). All that is graded within this scheme is how well defended you were and if your shot was too far left, too far right, or centered. It has been my favorite means to play so far. I feel like real-life gamers care less about when they discharge and much more about lining their own shot.

STICK ORIENTATION + SHOT RELEASE: This could be understood in the MyPlayer mode of the 2k21 demo. This manner is difficult! I imagine this strategy may be used for pro 2k leagues as a way of creating a larger skill difference? Maybe? I'm not sure but it's fairly hard to grasp. You have to release the ball at the ideal time as well as line the shot up in the exact same moment. I think a previous 2k used this scheme before but this time it feels much more fragile. If you only play with MyLeague and don't plan on upgrading to some next-gen console, 2K20 for $5 sounds like a good deal. I left a nice construct equilibrium for my play fashion to where I can play off and on ball with the primary slasher second so shooting pie chart such as a tmac kinda. Wow they destroyed my build and it was not even popular or OP. My full Red, Str+Vert 6'7 PF got its offensive and defensive rebounding, inside D, and obstruct all dropped at least 10 points. The vert is randomly higher but Speed and Agi are lower and worst of all of the Str is default lower without boosting weight 20-30 pounds. Strangely the standing dip rating is way higher than last year. Rlly sucks I can't he a dominant Rodman type without heading 6'8 or higher.

Edit: I will upload screenshots later but wow. Same exact construct vs 2k20 and it has far lower bodily features, terrible defensive ratings and rebounding ratings but for the perimeter d. The bizarre thing is it's like 4 or 3 finishing badges and 21 higher standing dip? .

No greater feeling than blocking those 7'3 facilities at the apex lol. . .oh well. Please have an option to return to the old shooter meter at the complete game. New one is too see through and big for me . I saw some thing where they could have options. With the devs keeping everything confidential, I should have known the demonstration would have been precisely the same as 20. It seems like they put zero effort to the present 2k. Afterward the very fact after the demo released the devs stayed silent as if they don't care at all. I'll wait and see how next gen is I'm not wasting time on that moot demo/current gen 2k.
